COP2700 Introduction to Database Management

This course covers the fundamental concepts and techniques of database management. Students work with relational databases and learns the components of database system. It includes database modeling, design, and implementation. Students will learn data definition language and data manipulation language syntax in structured query language (SQL). The class also introduces data warehouses and business intelligence system and nonrelational "NoSQL" database management.
