PGY2116 Color and Design

This course explores the conceptual and aesthetic use of color photography, color theory, sequence, narrative, design, page layout, and typography. The images developed throughout the term should demonstrate a clear understanding and conceptualization of color as essential to the meaning and impact of the photographs via studies in color theory that apply to both the photographic and post-production process. Color will be the prominent theme and conceptual tool as students build a cohesive series of color photographs that will culminate in a book designed with industry standard software.
