SLS2505 Critical Thinking

This course is designed to assist students in exploring their individual thinking and reasoning processes, including how personal views, beliefs, and attitudes about the world are developed and changed. It examines argumentation, flawed and faulty thinking, forms of credibility and expertise, critical thinking in relation to effective communication, and how cultural contexts shape assumptions as well as conclusions. This course contributes to satisfying Florida State Board of Education Administrative Rule 6A-10.030, College-Level Communication and Computational Skills (formerly known as the Gordon Rule), and helps satisfy the graduation requirements of the Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree.
