NUR1005C Transition into Professional Nursing and Lab
The transition course introduces concepts that facilitate educational progression to professional nursing without repetition. Emphasis is placed on health and wellness, safety and protection, age-appropriate care, cultural and spiritual aspects of nursing care, and legal rights and responsibilities. Upon completion of the course students will be able to apply these concepts to client care within the framework of the nursing process. Students engage using a hybrid method of content delivery with virtual and face to face learning experiences; clinical experiences occur with clients across the lifespan in stable medical surgical care environments.
