NUR4636C Community Health Nursing and Lab

This course is part of the RN to BSN program and provides students with an introduction to focused practice in the community nurse setting. Using theory related to health promotion and disease prevention, students will explore epidemiology of community health issues, community assessment, interventions, and environmental hazards along with the health care needs of the vulnerable. Findings related to incidence and prevalence of disease, morbidity, and mortality statistics and causal factors will be explored. This course includes a community-based clinical learning experience.
