The transition course introduces concepts that facilitate educational progression to professional nursing without repetition. The concepts include professional identity, safety, health promotion, wellness, and disease prevention, nursing process, patient centered care, diversity and spirituality utilizing the following learning outcomes: patient centered care, safety, teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement and informatics. Upon completion of the course students will be able to apply these concepts to client care within the framework of the nursing process.
