NUR1322 Maternal Child Nursing for Transition into Professional Nursing Student

This course introduces concepts related to delivering nursing care for childbearing families to the student transitioning into professional nursing. Emphasis is placed on the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of the health of the childbearing family and builds on previous healthcare education and experience. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to apply these concepts to families within the nursing process framework. Classroom discussions and assignments will be focused on the childbearing family in maternal, newborn, and pediatric settings.
