PMT0202C Introduction to Machining and Lab

This course prepares students for careers in machining, emphasizing essential industry skills. Students learn workplace safety, the history of manufacturing, and the importance of employability and entrepreneurship. The curriculum covers job-related mathematics, basic blueprint reading, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), precision measuring operations, and metrology. Additionally, students gain hands-on experience with primary and secondary manufacturing processes, power saw operation, and drill press use. To continue in the program, students must pass the course with a C or better.
