Program Overview
Mission:
The mission of the program is to develop skilled storytellers and media producers, graduates who are fluent across disciplines, ready to contribute from day one, and equipped with the craft, professional judgment, and portfolio that the industry demands.
Description:
At the heart of this program is story and the skills to tell it well across every medium, platform, and format that matters to today’s audiences. The Digital and Interactive Media Production program at Daytona State College is built around a simple but powerful idea: media professionals do not work in silos, and neither should media students.
From the first semester, students learn to work across photography, sound, design, video, interactive media, writing, and professional practice while building real projects with professional-grade equipment alongside faculty with active industry experience.
The program culminates in a capstone project that integrates cross-disciplinary coursework into a cohesive, industry-ready portfolio.
Outcomes:

- Explain functions of hardware and software related to multimedia production.
- Demonstrate professional communication skills.
- Employ team skills in multimedia production.
