Embedded AI Pathways

The Artificial Intelligence Awareness certificate is embedded within multiple Associate in Science and Associate in Arts degree programs, enabling students to earn the certificate while completing coursework in their chosen program of study.

Program Overview

Mission:

The Artificial Intelligence Awareness Certificate provides students with foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, tools, and ethical considerations to support participation in an AI-enabled workforce. The program prepares students to analyze AI-enabled systems, support users, and engage in continuous professional development across multiple disciplines.

Description:

The Artificial Intelligence Awareness Certificate introduces students to essential concepts, tools, and practices related to artificial intelligence. The curriculum emphasizes how AI is applied, evaluated, and supported in real-world settings.

Students explore:

  • Artificial intelligence (AI) tools and applications
  • AI chatbots and automation
  • The AI project lifecycle
  • Basic data manipulation
  • Systems analysis
  • Ethical considerations in AI
  • User support and communication

Through competency-based learning experiences, students develop technical proficiency, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and transferable employability skills that support the responsible use of artificial intelligence across academic, professional, and workforce settings.

Outcomes:

Graduates of the program will be able to:
