Program Overview
Mission:
The Information Technology Analysis College Credit Certificate provides students with foundational knowledge of information technology systems, microcomputer operating procedures, software applications, and hardware configuration. The program incorporates current technologies and innovative instructional practices to prepare students for success in today's technology-driven workplace.
Description:
The Information Technology Analysis College Credit Certificate prepares students to install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot information technology systems. Students develop practical skills in computer hardware, operating systems, networking, technical support, systems monitoring, and customer service while gaining the technical competencies needed for entry-level information technology careers.
Seamless Transfer Pathway: All coursework in this certificate applies directly toward the Associate in Science degrees in Networking Systems Technology, Computer Programming and Analysis, Computer Information Technology, and Computer Engineering Technology.
Outcomes:
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
- Design, configure, and evaluate secure network environments.
- Demonstrate knowledge of internet technologies and network communications.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate technical support functions.
- Troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Monitor information systems to ensure reliable operation.
- Analyze information technology systems and recommend improvements.
- Develop technology solutions that meet customer and organizational requirements.

Earn a grade of "C" or better in all program-specific and prerequisite courses.
