Mission:
The program provides students with training, practical experience, and skill development necessary for entry into the interior design industry with a focus on kitchen and bath design. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning, engagement with the design community, and application of industry standards to support successful transition from student to professional practitioner.
Description:
The Kitchen and Bath Specialization certificate prepares students for entry-level employment in interior design, architecture, and construction-related industries with an emphasis on kitchen and bath design. The program provides a sequence of courses offering coherent and rigorous content aligned with industry standards and technical knowledge required for careers in this field.

- Elements and principles of design
- Space planning and workflow
- Hand and computer-aided drawing
- Lighting and materials selection
- Kitchen and bath design standards (NKBA)
- Presentation and communication skills
- Professional practices

Outcomes:
Graduates of the program will be able to:

Completion Requirement:
- Earn a grade "C" or better in all program-specific and prerequisite courses.
