Program Overview

Mission:

The Business Management Certificate prepares students for entry-level management positions and advancement opportunities through a career-focused curriculum that develops business knowledge, leadership skills, and workforce competencies.

Description:

This college credit certificate provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to manage and operate a small business or advance into supervisory and management roles. Courses may be scheduled to accommodate individuals currently working in business environments.

Outcomes:

Graduates of the program will be able to:

  1. Prepare financial information for management decisions.
  2. Communicate business ideas and terminology effectively.
  3. Apply business-related theories to real-world problems.
  4. Create business documentation using appropriate software.
  5. Develop marketing plans using marketing concepts.
  6. Develop a business plan for a new venture.

Completion Requirement:

  • Earn a grade "C" or better in all program-specific and prerequisite courses.
