Program Overview

Mission:

The Audio Electronics Specialist Certificate prepares students for entry-level employment as sound or recording technicians and provides supplemental training for individuals currently working in audio production environments.

Description:

The curriculum includes setup and configuration of computers for audio applications and operation of audio recording and reproduction equipment. Students develop technical skills in audio engineering, sound reinforcement, and studio maintenance.

Outcomes:

Graduates of the program will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in teams while applying organizational and leadership skills.
  2. Apply knowledge of music production technology and audio engineering.
  3. Demonstrate technical problem-solving skills related to audio engineering applications.

Completion Requirement:

  • Earn a grade "C" or better in all program-specific and prerequisite courses.
